Fundamentals of Financial Management, Brigham and Houston, Concise 5th Edition.

 Prerequisites

Econ. 2013 and 2023, Acct. 2113 and 2123, QM 2013 and 2023

 Supplemental Material:

Wall Street Journal, Business Week, Yahoo Finance, Morningstar, and Quote.com.

 Financial Calculators are required.  Recommended calculators are HP 10B, HP 12C, HP 17BII, and TI BAII.

 Technology Supplement.  A manual that introduces the calculators mentioned above.  It is available on reserve at the library.

Grading:

The final grade will be based on the three exams given during the semester.  Each exam with an average class average less than 75 will be curved for a class average of 75.  A class average over 75 will not be curved downward.

Class and study suggestions

It is recommended that you read or scan the current chapter before class to become familiar with the material and concepts.  The suggested assignments in the Schedule below will benefit students in comprehending the material.  The end of chapter Exam type and Problems is also recommended study aides.

Misconduct

The document Policies and Procedures Relating to Academic Misconduct in the College of Business Administration shall apply to this course.  Copies of the document are on reserve in BAH 218.

Center for Student Academic Support

Students with disabilities should contact the Center for Student Academic Support to self-identify their needs in order to facilitate their rights under the Americans with Disabilities Act.  The Cent for Student Academic Support is located in Holmes Student Center, Room 59.

Missing Grades

All missing grades are recorded as zero unless the missed grade falls under the policy specified on pages E56-57 of the Student Handbook.  This policy states that the student should report to the Student Center for Academic Support in Holmes Student Center, Room 59 for a formal excuse.
